  • Disappointing. If this was his moment to explain his healthcare plan in a new way it didn't sound different or even believeable to me. I actually liked the Republican response much better. The conservatives DO have a plan Mr. President go to healthcare.gop.gov

  • Gates is the director of Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research. I wasn't there either, but consider the possibility that Gates was baiting Officer Crowley into the eventual treatment he recieved.

  • Cut tax rates now, particularly on business and watch 2 things happen: 1) unemployment drops below 5% and 2) tax revenues increase allowing us to better provide for those who are truly needy. John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan did it. Works everytime.

  • Bernanke's right about a second half recovery. However, without government intervention / stimulus / bailout /TARP it would have been OVER ALREADY!!! This was a garden variety contraction without the threat of government intrusion.

  • I'm brimming with pride that America elected a black person before any Western Civilzation. Europe, eat your heart out! However, and this is no surprise, his solid speech was just as good as Gearge W. Bush in 2005. Re-read both, you will agree.
